Louis Deleues

Louis Deleues, a man who started with perakeets, so called wild birds. He wanted to change and fly pigeons. He knew how to handle birds, maybe he could race pigeons too.

By accident he ran into Karel Schellens, a man who an icon
in the game. Shellen became Deleues mentor. He got every
pair he wanted from Schellens and they became friends.

Deleues has a “feel” for pigeons and he knew what he
wanted. One from this loft and one from that loft —
“winners only”.

In 2001 things changed for Deleues. He decided to retire
from pigeon racing because of illness. His 2001 total sell off was a success beyound boarders.
Sadly, Deleues passed away in 2002 leaving behind a
legacy as he himself had become an icon.

I was fortunate enough to obtain 17 pigeons well before
the 2001 sale; the pigeons from his best racers.
